Little Ferry
Named after a rope-drawn ferry that crossed the Hackensack River in northern New Jersey between 1659 and 1826, Little Ferry was originally part of New Barbados, the early name for Hackensack. The borough was formed in 1894 and has been ranked among the top 50 places to live by New Jersey Magazine.
