Teterboro was formed from parts of Moonachie, Little Ferry, Lodi and Hasbrouck Heights. Most of its land is part of the Teterboro Airport which has been used to manufacture aircraft in the past and as a private facility before being acquired by the  Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
